Wikidot.com - Free Wiki Hosting with Perks

Wikidot is an open source wiki hosting project. They aim to provide free wiki publishing, collaboration and communication tools for anyone and everyone. As with all wikis, all you have to worry about is your content—the rest, CSS, HTML etc. is tended to by Wikidot. You can invite people and let them co-edit your pages. Forums can be built, and you can build a completely private wiki for family, friends, colleagues and coworkers. Wikidot offers unlimited bandwidth, as well as number of pages and users. Each wiki is given 100 megs of storage space. There are RSS feeds and feed exports, private messaging, and advanced membership controls. Wikidot is designed to scale to up to millions of users.

Wikidot is incredibly versatile –it can be used for personal note keeping or for community building. It also packs in a lot of features without ads and all for free. Besides that, these wikis aren’t your average, non descript wikis—these actually have some flair to them. Users can import Flickr images, Youtube videos, del.icio.us bookmarks etc.
