Versionate.com - Remotely Save and Edit Your Docs

    versionate

With versionate you are able to save all of your documents over the internet and therefore be able to locate them from wherever you are (granted there is internet access). The service is absolutely free and there is a virtual tour to help the non technically proficient figure out the how to use the programs. You can edit all of the content of your documents right from your web browser. Every change that you ever made to your content will be save, so if you happen to like the way the document was three weeks ago before you began making two weeks of changes, it is no problem to get back to that.

    In their own words

Versionate is a rich internet application, combining the speed and flexibility of web pages with familiar desktop application concepts. Open documents and files are contained within separate tabs, allowing you to quickly switch between them. Your content is stored in our online file system, which you can browse just like you would on your desktop. Create folders to help organize your files.

Why it might be a killer

There is definitely a huge market for saving and editing documents online. If Versionate could take some of that market share, they could be in business.

    Some questions

With companies out that are bigger and more recognized, Versionate would have to launch a huge campaign to get the recognition they will need to be a player.
