In their own words
“TwitterLocal lets you generate an RSS or XML Feed to filter out Tweets around a certain area. Just enter a city, state, postal code, choose the range of miles you want to include, and hit the button. You'll instantly get URLs to add to your RSS reader.”
Why it might be a killer
TwitterLocal adds an interesting dimension to Twitter. Geolocation tech is quite popular these days and it gives you interesting insight into just what people are doing where. I imagine those interested in gathering stats about Twitter users will be able to use this to tune into specific communities. It could be leveraged for marketing or for other apps.
Some questions
Will your average Twitter user be interested? Is it merely a novelty or will it actually be used and applied regularly? Do we need more stalking tools?
