Why Thatsmyhome.com might be a killer

Recipes are an exploding online market. When people want to find a new recipe these days they go to the Internet, more so than cookbooks, magazines or anything else. Recipe searches are one of the most searched categories by women online. That’s My Home opens a range of possibilities for advertisers trying to reach a female crowd. It is an organized and convenient cooking site with thousands of great recipes. It provides users with easy to use conversion charts that help them convert weight measures, liquid measures and oven temperatures.

    Some questions about Thatsmyhome.com

How they will be able to compete with so many other cooking sites offering fully searchable databases of thousands of recipes and cooking tips? Besides, an increasing number of sites are coming up targeting niche markets such as local recipes, ethnic recipes, diabetic recipes, etc. Will they add some social networking features?

    Thatsmyhome.com In their own words

“Well, my story on the home page of this site tells you a little bit about me, so let me tell you how this site started. It was the fall of 1999 when I decided to do a real estate site for myself. I had read somewhere that good sites have content other than their main topic. So I invented my imaginary town here and it was going to have all kinds of areas that have to do with the home. So if you've wondered why a cooking site has a name like That's My Home, you'll soon figure it out. I decided to start with the kitchen first and started adding recipes and shops. That's My Home debuted in November of 1999, with almost 300 recipes. I was busy taking classes everywhere I could find to learn web design so I could get the real estate part set up. Somewhere along the way, my love of cooking took over and the real estate section never happened!”
