In their own words
"Tablesetter.com works to cut operating costs and reduce turnover rates in the food and hospitality industry by providing a unique set of management tools and open source content. By creating a one-time universal resume, individuals can directly apply for consideration to the private, online HR database of any participating restaurant that meets their employment needs. We have identified a great need in the market for a reliable, one-click platform for employees to submit resumes in the most cost and time efficient manner, while providing our members with a wealth of information regarding working condition variables. Tablesetter.com’s model is to provide the industry with a standardized way of managing massive turnover rates and labor related data. This will come in the form of an open network and resources that will alleviate the costs and complexities the hospitality industry currently experiences in acquiring quality employees. Ultimately, the Tablesetter.com platform will give merchants far greater and continuous access to a wide range of value added solutions, while providing well-informed, skilled employees that leverage their often expensive but limited hiring procedures. We strive to provide great benefits to everyone associated with the food and hospitality industry."
Why it might be a killer
We are the first and only website to provide a database dedicated to providing restaurant employees with all the necessary information (money, shifts, insurance, etc.) to make the proper employment decisions. We have also created a revolutionary system to directly submit formated, electronic, photo-optional resumes to be easily sorted by the management or human resource departments of any restaurant through their own, private HR account. We have eliminated the need for emails, faxes, attachments, and paper applications saving restaurants and employees time and money on their search.
Some questions
How easy would it be to get it populated? Are they aware of the costs of generating activity in a new site? Given the funding they already have, can't they improve the user interface?
