Subbmitt.com - Every Story Makes the Front Page

Subbmitt is the latest social news gathering site in the vein of Digg And, unlike so many other clone sites, Subbmitt may actually have a chance. It’s got all the attributes of a good Web 2.0 upbringing—the nu wave spelling, the Digg like interface complete with voting, different news categories, the community of new spreaders and top contributors; it’s bilingual too. The difference between Subbmitt and Digg, or Mixx or Reddit is that on Subbmitt, all stories submitted make the front page. Each. And. Everyone. As an added little bonus, a screenshot of each story pops up too if you mouse over them. Members can vote on stories, comment or mark them as spam to filter out the fluff articles. Of course, if you must, the Most Popular articles are available for your viewing pleasure too.

  In their own words

“Subbmitt is a social news/blogging/bookmark site that allows you to post links to articles, questions, photos, videos or documents. It is a great place to read and share articles, photos or videos. On other sites, your article will make it to a queue and may or may not even be seen. On Subbmitt, all articles make it to the frontpage so you are not wasting time by submitting them.”

Why it might be a killer

Subbmitt is a clever model in the social news aggregation sphere. Instead of users submitting a story that may never even make a ripple in the blogosphere because it doesn’t have front page status, all articles make it to the front page. Users decide what they like from there.

  Some questions

Will users want to bother with another Digg-clone? Will this method of news spreading prove successful? Will spam articles be a problem?
