Spotplex.com - Find Most Visited Blog Articles Today

    spotplex

Spotplex takes user powered content in a different direction. As opposed to Digg, Spotplex content is sorted in real-time not by votes, but by views of the original content. Sites that want to get attention include Spotplex´s javascript code on their page, which then keeps track of the user traffic per post. As soon as a post is viewed, it gets loaded onto Spotplex, and the more times it is read, the higher it appears on the list of incoming articles. If the page gets enough views, it makes the home page. For a site owner, this is great because not only do you get publicity, but you also get to see all of the data on how many people are reading your posts and which are the most popular.

    In their own words

“Spotplex provides internet users with real-time ranking of blog articles based on actual impression count.

Why it might be a killer

Site owners will want to include their page in the mix because it means a lot more traffic and readers for them. It also lets them know what their readers prefer to see. People also like to see what´s catching the most attention from others so that they can be in the know as well. The site is really easy to navigate through and the listing of recent tabs may bring you to new information you hadn´t considered looking at, bringing sites new readers.

    Some questions

How will they stop the big named sites from getting all of the top rankings? Will people enjoy this new way to see popular articles, or will they miss having more of an input that they can get from Digg? How will they stop spammers from just clicking the site a bunch of times to get their articles closer to the top?
