SpotCrime has many filters so you can find the exact information you are looking for. You can choose which crimes you are searching for as well as the date in which the crime occurred. You can even filter the time in which the crimes occurred. You can zoom in on the map to target your street and clearly see which crimes occurred. Each crime icon has a short description of the crime, if you want to learn more you can click on the icon to get further details and to add comments. SpotCrime is a unique idea, safety is an important issue that is becoming more and more of a problem. SpotCrime is very thorough and it is great that it includes maps of all major cities. The filtering tools are also very useful, users can get very specific with their search and determine important details such as time. The crime alert feature is a good way for users to be notified of crimes in their neighborhood. The icons are very clear and the short descriptions are a good way to give uses a general idea of the incident. Users can express themselves by using the comments feature for the crimes.
