Smashingfeeds.com - Display Various Feeds In One Place

    smashingfeeds

Smashing feeds is a site that aggregates multiple feeds all in one place. You can choose from a great selection of feeds under a variety of categories: Technology, Business, Productivity, Web2.0, Gadget, Social Bookmark, Money, Apple, Web Design, SEO, Google, Offbeat. While there are a plethora of news aggregators available, smashing feeds does not require a log-in, it has good categories of interests and selected quality blog sources while allowing you to display only headlines or a few words or details at a time. Not having to display an entire certainly saves you time and gives you the important information that you are looking for.

    In their own words

This site is all about displaying feeds of your interest from various news/blog sources. This site uses Google AJAX feed API for feed creation and management. There would be an obvious question that there are lots of news aggregators available, then why do we need this site? The answer: No log-in required, feeds on various categories of your interest. Selected blog sources to maintain the quality of news. Fast display compared to feed aggregators (based on my personal experience). Display headlines and few words of details rather than entire story. This will save your time. Easy to access.

Why it might be a killer

There is a good range of sites to choose from and this site could become a good place for one-stop shopping for all your feed needs. Not requiring a log-in will also help conversion as people clicking on the site for the first time will be more inclined to use it if they don’t have to register first.

    Some questions

Will this site be able to differentiate itself from the multitude of other offerings currently available? Competition is stiff but if they can continue to do their research and select their sources wisely, then it may catch on.
