Self-described as “a single dashboard for your digital life”, Sendeo aims to become a standard for storing and sharing files of every type, and accessing them from anywhere there is an Internet connection.

The mechanics of this Washington-based startup are clearly described on the helpful FAQ file which is featured.



Basically, upon logging in you are greeted with the Sendeo dashboard. On the left-hand side you can see all the files that you have uploaded so far, and the right side of the page is devoted to three sections that go by the names of “People”, “Groups” and “Drives”. These merit at least a succinct description. “People” is where you can upload family members and acquaintances, whereas “Groups” will let you organize people in different categories. For its part, the “Drives” section is where the files are stored or used in other web services.

The main selling point of Sendeo is that empowers the user to share any of his existing files without having to resort to e-mail communications and attaching files – they simply drag the files into a person’s name or into a pre-arranged group. Upon doing so, the file in question will appear in that people’s Sendeo.
