In their own words
"Procore is an online construction project management tool that saves contractors time and money. Procore keeps job schedules accurate and up-to-date, maintains comprehensive records of all team communications, archives project documents and digital photos, and makes it simple for superintendents to keep accurate daily logs.
Procore is as easy to use as email, and is priced to be affordable for any size job, and any type of contractor. Procore reduces costs and project errors while providing greater levels of overall security.
Procore Technologies was founded in 2003, and is privately funded by venture capital and "angel" investors. Procore is located in Santa Barbara, California."
Why it might be a killer
Essentially, Procore is a great way to keep track of a project as it develops. It allows all of your communication with your coworkers to be kept in the same place, and makes scheduling much simpler. Project managers will find this program to be worthwhile.
Some questions
Right now the product is marketed directly toward housing developers, even so far as putting photos of construction workers all over the site. Doesn't Procore see the value in marketing itself to other audiences, such as large-scale artists, or theaters, or archaeologists?
