In their own words
"After living in Manhattan for years and racking up several hundred dollars of parking tickets, the site creator decided there must be a better way. After asking other drivers what their methods were, we heard that a few people were keeping hand-drawn maps in notebooks in their cars. As a programmer, he decided to create the map online. He opened the site to allow people to add their own streets and neighborhoods, and in June 2007, PrimoSpot was born."
Why it might be a killer
Primospot.com has a clean attractive interface which makes navigating around the site simple. All cities pose a challenge when trying to find a parking space especially Manhattan so Primospot.com definitely serves a large community. The Google map makes it very easy to search the roads for a free spot.
Some questions
Primospot.com should include all types of parking opportunities such as paid parking garages. It is great to see that Primospot.com has plans to expand their services to Philadelphia, Boston, and Queens but when will other NYC boroughs and other cities be listed?
