Polyvore.com is a site that lets you create your own fashion and share it with friends. Do you find yourself cutting and pasting different clothing items together to create trendy outfits? If you do then Polyvore.com is the perfect site for you. Polyvore.com lets you combined clothing items you find on the web to create the ultimate outfits. You use the Polyvore editor to create your outfits. The Polyvore editor lets you take the items imported into Polyvore.com, by you and other users, and drag them from the panel to the canvas where you make your work of art. You can resize the items by expanding or reducing the size of the box. The items panel contains three categories; my stuff( items you have saved or used), my sets(the outfits you have created), and all items (all imported items by you and other users). Polyvore is also a social network. If you click on items that other users have imported there is a link to the site where that user found it so if you are interested you can buy that item. You can create a profile and make friends. There are even contests where you have to make an outfit that fits a certain theme. If you win you can show off your trophy on our profile page. Polyvore.com has a fun and funky interface that displays other users' sets. The site is easy to navigate and the Polyvore editor is also very easy to use. You can organize your items by tagging them so that you can find all the accessories under the accessory tag. Being able to visit the site where an item was taken from is great because if you like an outfit you can potential buy it by visiting the sites. The Facebook application will only help Polyvore become more popular.
Any images with detailed backgrounds run the risk of showing up distorted. It would be great if Polyvore.com could somehow fix this problem so that users can choose any image of clothing instead of searching for clothing images that have simple backgrounds. Voting on sets would be a fun feature, then every week there could be the best set, voted by users featured on the homepage.
