“Mark Blumenthal is the editor and publisher of Pollster.com. He began writing the Mystery Pollster blog in September 2004. Blumenthal has been in the political polling business for more than 20 years, conducting and analyzing political polls and focus groups for Democratic candidates and market research surveys for major corporations. His experience includes work with pollsters Harrison Hickman, Paul Maslin, Kirk Brown, Celinda Lake, Stan Greenberg and 15 years with his former partners David Petts and Anna Bennett in the firm Bennett, Petts and Blumenthal (BPB). In January of 2007, he left BPB to devote full time to Pollster.com.”
Why it might be a killer
Pollster.com has an attractive interface and is easy to navigate. The people behind this site are well educated and have a great deal of experience and knowledge in the polling business and politics. There are links to informative sites which is a great resource for users. The maps and charts are easy to read and informative. Pollster.com is a useful site.
Some questions
There are many sites that keep track of the presidential election polls. How will Pollster.com deal with the competition posed by similar sites? It would be great if there was a comment section below each of the charts so that users could express their opinion.
