When you’re on the road for business, the last thing you want to deal with is making a detailed expense report to hand over to accounting. Afterall, it’s a business trip and you’re either really working or working in that fly my clients to Tahiti way which means a lot of cash for dinners, drinks, etc. So if you need that thousand dollar dinner comped, you’ve got to fill out the paperwork. Usually, that involves a simple Excel sheet which would be later transferred to Quicken. However, now there’s Paybackable, a browser based web application that simplifies the process. Paybackable lets you log your expenses and export them in a Quickbooks readable format. Simply register and log in the important details—no. of employees, out of pocket expenses, mileage, categorize them and then send. It’s free too for a solo account.

“We created Paybackable because we were sick of using an Excel spreadsheet to track our own out-of-pocket expenses. Whenever we wanted to submit an expense report, we'd send the speradsheet in to the person who handles the books, and she'd manually type the transaction into QuickBooks. Because it was such a hassle and took so long, expense checks would end up as the lowest priority, which didn't exactly help the personal cash flow.”

Paybackable is a useful tool. It’s great for business types who travel often and it’s great for small business owners just getting started. It’s a format that doesn’t require any programming or coding and it easily translates to QuickBooks.

Will there be enough pay customers? Is Paybackable a solution that suits will like? Or will that want something more?

| We're working with some of our larger customers to add functionality to support bigger teams (though we'll keep the focus on simplicity.) Next thing coming will be manager approvals - submit your expenses by email, manager approves for payment and it gets sent on to whoever does the books. | ||
