    OneColdHand.com - Glove Love

    onecoldhand

We’ve all fallen prey to the mischievous missing glove at one time or another. They’ve gone missing on us in cold, frosty parks, in a long forgotten parking lot, on benches, under beds, and worst of all the winter clothes closet doomed to be forever trapped under your old fashion beanie gammy knit you. Never fear, One Cold Hand is here to help you find your lost glove (in Pittsburgh for now, coming soon to a neighborhood near you). Its founder Jennifer Gooch started the site after finding a lost glove on her Carnegie Mellon campus. She took it home and in its stead, placed a note inscribed with the fateful words ‘Missing a glove? Onecoldhand.com’. So far 21 gloves have found their way onto the site, hoping to be reunited with their partners. Should you be missing a glove, rest assured you’ve got at least someone looking out for you.

    In their own words

"onecoldhand.com is a project that connects the Pittsburgh community through one unfortunate event - the loss of a glove. The website creates a method for dealing with the conundrum of finding these lost articles. Do you leave it and hope the owner comes back to find it? Do you pick it up? Throw it away? With onecoldhand.com, the abandoned object now becomes a symbol of benevolence and hope."

Why it might be a killer

One Cold Hand is a cute little website with a great idea and a lot of heart. It’s already garnered press attention, the New York Times, and USA Today, among them. One Cold Hand is also growing, projects are already in discussion for New York.

    Some questions

One Cold Hand may be cute, but is it practical? How many gloves will actually make it back to their rightful owner?
