"Disappointed With Online Dating?
We think online dating should be fun, but unfortunately, too often it's not! A survey by Jupiter Research suggests that only 1 out of 4 users are “very satisfied” or “satisfied” with online dating sites. So, we decided to build a different kind of online dating experience...
"The next step in online dating - Virtual Dating," Scientific American, Jan 30th, 2007
OmniDate is the next generation of online dating. It provides users with unique virtual dating venues, such as cafés, bars and lounges, where singles can get to know each other in a fun, safe environment before meeting face to face.
Invite someone on an OmniDate and enjoy great conversation, romantic scenery and wonderful music. You will have fun, laugh, and build common experiences.
Virtual Dating for Serious Relationships
Virtual reality is not all about games anymore. It's being used to train pilots, cure phobias, provide physical therapy, improve leadership skills... and find meaningful relationships. OmniDate provides the latest in virtual reality to help singles find real-life meaningful relationships.
You may be surprised to learn that virtual reality is much like an old-fashioned way of dating, where people take the time to really get to know each other, instead of sending electronic winks or pokes. According to a study by a Harvard University professor, those people who go on virtual dates first tend to have more successful face-to-face dates.
Great profile, bad date?
Profiles don't represent well the true person behind the profile. People tend to be more impressed with their dates before their first meeting and, thus, first dates tend to be disappointing. According to research, women become 36% less impressed with their dates once they actually meet them!
OmniDate let's you find out whether you click with the person behind the profile before you rush off to meet him or her. Make your first date an OmniDate. Do you have similar interests and aspirations? Do you enjoy the same music? Do you make each other laugh? When the date ends, you will know whether you want to go on another OmniDate, meet in real life, or never see each other again. Whatever your choice, you will make it safely through a convenient messaging system.
Take Control of Your Online Dating
We know finding a life mate is not easy. Many people hungrily turn to the so-called dating experts for their scientific-sounding matching algorithms and advice. Don't be fooled. According to an independent study conducted by Dr. Philip Zimbardo, a former president of the American Psychological Association, the accuracy of such matching recommendations is extremely low.
When it comes to finding YOUR life mate, YOU are the expert! Only you can determine whether there is a fit between you and another person! So go ahead and take control of your online dating! Fill out a profile and start OmniDating!"

Some questions about Omnidate.com/
I must be honest in that I think online dating websites and chat rooms etc.... are strange when you meet someone there for the first time. Omnidate.com is like playing a video game not dating. Who can honestly take this seriously, having a character speak for you in a setting of your choice? I feel as though is you are going to do online dating there is enough of a shield to begin with, you don't need a fictional setting and virtual character. If you are going to do the virtual dating thing, and doctors say it is positive, then Omnidate.com should add different dating options such as group dates or speed dating sessions.
