Oddpodz is the place for creative, thinking outside of the box kinds of people to keep informed on trends, vent, buy cool stuff, and hang out with others like themselves. They recently launched Muzeum, another section of their site that brings Oddpodz´s social world to life. The layout is definitely aesthetically pleasing, and it´s fun to check out all of the rooms in the virtual museum. Rooms include a lounge where you can “grab a drink” and chat with the other people on the site, a concert hall where you can chill out and listen to jazz, various exhibits of art work users can post on the site (for a fee), and various other places to wander through.

“Our vision: Oddpodz will be a brand for creatives. The word Oddpod (plural, Oddpodz) will become a noun describing a unique, creative person. Oddpod nation is community of independent doers, free-range thinkers and non-conformist change agents who make significant contributions to create a better world. Oddpodz the company will be known as a trailblazing brand that built a stronger creative class, empowered people to be unique and themselves, and to enjoy, respect and honor all that is different.

Branding is their forte, and so they have a strong background to make the site work. They also market their various items for sale all over their site, including in the Muzeum, but do it in a way that is less of an announce than with the typical Google ads. They already have lots of people involved in contributing meaningful content and have a bunch of areas to rack in income.

Why does it cost so much for better than free membership to the site, when it seems as if they have plenty of income coming in from other areas and other sites offer similar benefits for free? Is the amount of content a bit overwhelming?
