NoteCentric.com - Get Caught Up with Class

    notecentric

So you missed class a couple of times. Actually, more than a couple. Too much really. Luckily, you’ve got a friend who attends. Unluckily, that’s only for one class. For the rest of your schedule, you’re left to your own devices. Short of actually having to listen to the lecture online, or sifting through power point slides, there’s not much you can do about finding decent notes This is a problem all too common to college students worldwide. There’s only so much you can do to keep up. Now there’s Notecentric, good for lazy students who don’t attend and great for the laptop warrior furiously typing up notes at 100 words per minute. Notecentric is basically a site for social note sharing. Once you’ve entered your notes, you can access them from anywhere as long as you’re online. You can share them with fellow classmates. It’s also a Facebook application so you’ll never be note-less again.

    In their own words

“Notecentric was created by Hung Truong, a student of Computer Science at the University of New Mexico. Notecentric was born of necessity. Hung found that it was really hard to:
    1. Synchronize his notes from his laptop to his desktop computer
    2. Share his existing notes with his classmates without resorting to email
Notecentric is a social class note sharing website. The main focus of Notecentric is to allow university students to have their notes wherever they go and be able to easily share their notes with classmates.
Once notes are entered in Notecentric, users will have access to them wherever web access is available. In addition, classmates who have Notecentric accounts will automatically have access to those notes (unless the notes are tagged as "private"). “

Why it might be a killer

Notecentric is a simple app that allows you to organize and keep up with notes. University students, especially now that it’s a Facebook app, would do well to check Notecentric out.

    Some questions

Notecentric is nothing really new. Students have a bevy of resources for missed notes. What will make students want to use Notecentric versus the host of other resources available to them?
