NewsCloud champions a free and open press. Readers from around the world can use the site to submit news stories that interest them. Besides submitting stories, members of the site can vote and comment on each item. Mousing over the more options link gives readers the opportunity to jump to the original source and to visit the contributor’s journal. The journals comprise all comments and posts submitted by a NewsCloud member. They also include any clouds, or news channels a user subscribes to. Other features include RSS feeds, daily pictures and a widget.
