Near.ly - Keep Abreast Of The Latest News Via Twitter

    near

Near.ly is a notification system that uses Twitter as its principal tool. In general terms, you have to specify a physical address anywhere in the United States and then you will receive links to news and blog posts happening within 1,000 feet of the address that you furnished beforehand.

In order to sign up, all you have to do is choose a username and a password and supply a valid e-mail address. There is no need to download or install anything, and the service in itself is completely inexpensive – no fees at all have to be paid.

Note that when first signing up you will receive the last news stories within the last 7 days – that is, a deluge of information. But there is no need to worry; from that point onwards you will only receive the most recent news.

At the end of the day, the site offers a practical service for keeping abreast of the news and items that appertain to you the most. As such, you can always consider paying it a visit at the address that is featured below and see how it fares for yourself.
