Musicrambler.org - Last.fm and Flickr Mashup

MusicRambler is an interesting and easy to use mashup of Last.fm, Flickr and Google Maps that displays various images and events related to the music that you are listening to.

To get started, just enter your Last.fm ID into the MusicRambler box and it will then connect to your Last.fm account to determine what song you are currently playing. Once MusicRambler knows what you are listening to, it searches through Google Maps and Flickr for images and events that are related to the artist and displays them in your browser on a clear map. The service is free and only requires that you enter your Last.fm username to use it.

Last.fm users will love being able to display an intelligent slide show while at the same time listening to their favorite music. This could even become a cool experimental tool for certain DJs.

MusicRambler currently works by searching for relevant image tags which works quite well but isn’t perfect. Have they contemplated refining this aspect so that mistagged items don’t ruin the show?
