MentalMagician.net - Online Card Game with Opponents

Mental Magician is a new turn based online card game for play between two people. You start out with a certain amount of "life" and "mana," and then turn the cards over to see what is happening to your life.

You use your cards to battle your opponents forces and drain them of their life forces. The first player to get their opponents life to zero first wins the game. The game is meant to be played with others, and includes some social networking features such as messaging with your opponents and emailing other members. The site currently has 25 members.

This is a newly developed site as of June, 2007. It is an idea brought forth by a friend of mine that could not find a game like this where he could play against others via the internet. Well, being my first attempt at a program like this I decided to take on the challenge. So far things have been going good with issues here and there, but it's coming along.

People like to play games online, and I'm sure any types of new games are a welcome addition to the mix, as long as their is some new challenge and intrigue involved. This game is new and I cannot vouch for the mental challenge of it, but the creator appears genuinely interested in creating a productive and fun online game.

After reading the instructions to this game multiple times, I still didn't really get it (although i freely admit that i am not a big games person). Is it a game for experienced fantasy-type gamers? Surely there is a way to describe the game for anyone to follow. Also, I realize the site is new and seemingly managed by only one person, but the site needs more pizazz and intrigue, or maybe just connections to other game sites. 25 members is a good start, but is this game going to interest a broader audience (there are millions of gamers out there).
