Megite Discover is a new meme tracking, crowd sourced recommendation service brought to you by Megite, the social news site. The front page features a prominent and large tag cloud which lets you discover from popular topics such as design, programming, and business. Above that is the actual search or discover bar where you can type in your keyword. The results are divided into two sections: another tagcloud, this one narrowed down to suit your search term, and a discovered pages box which lists all pages found. Behind each link you’ll find a Discover button, press this and Megite will suggest related sites, somewhat like StumbleUpon. Users can store all their favorite links once they register. They can also share and tag their bookmarks.

Megite Discover is leveraging Megite’s popularity to bring more people into the site and in turn, add more content. It’s a good concept, as the vastness of the web leave many feeling as if they were missing out. It’s pretty easy to use too.

Megite Discover looks like it was made in some preschool art class. It has an extremely messy and naïve aesthetic. There aren’t any previews of any kind of the websites suggested. There’s no commenting or ratings either.
