Maxthon.com - The Way We Surf the World

    Maxthon

It seems that people are slowly drifting out of the IE nightmare, and as they do, a myriad of browsers are popping up all over the place, so it is becoming increasingly hard to figure out which one’s good and which one belongs to the IE lineage. Maxthon, by the way, doesn’t: a new tabbed browser full of comfy and user-friendly features, shortcuts, mouse gestures and appearance customization possibilities that will allow users to feel as if they had designed the software themselves. But Maxthon is about so much more than the good looks, it’s also about accessibility: you can set up your browser to open up several URLs simultaneously by pressing one hotkey, customize your browser to open up faster the sites you frequently visit, access your favorites from another computer thanks to their online favorites service, and there’s still so much more: Maxthon eases visual clutter, as it can block not only pop-ups and banners, but even ad content blocks, you can use it to read your RSS feeds, and it lets you know when you are entering a secure server (https) by shading the address bar green, as FireFox shades its own orange.

    In their own words

“Maxthon Browser is a powerful tabbed browser built for all users. Besides basic browsing functionality, Maxthon Browser provides a rich set of features to improve your surfing experience”.

Why it might be a killer

Maxthon seems just great, and possibly the best bit of the thing is that it’s free to download, update and use. There’s no way this browser doesn’t become a killer startup.

    Some questions

So much perfection and security are hard to come across. Is it possible that the perfect browser has been launched? Is Maxthon as good as it claims to be?
