There are many business directories currently available, so what is the point in another one seeing the light? What could make a new one be slightly special? I bet that is what many of you thought upon reading the title of this review. The truth is that this particular directory (named LogoNav) is not revolutionary, but it has two distinctive characteristics that make it likeable: it emphasizes searchability by being optimized for most mobile devices, and it focuses on giving small companies a chance to enjoy as much exposure as possible.

For instance, if you look up a company in any of the featured categories and the company is indeed found, you will not be presented with a string of text to begin with. Rather, the logo of the company will be displayed right in front of you. And typing on the whole is kept to a strict minimum. Categories are represented by icons, for example. And the actual location of any business is mapped out dynamically.

All in all, this is a different way in which companies can get in front of the ones who are looking for their services. The approach is versatile enough as it stands, and I am really interested in seeing how this site could be best rendered on an iPad.
