GiftTRAP is a web-based game between you and your friends, based on the board game by the same name. Basically, the aim of the game is to test how well you and your friends know eachother by having you select a gift that you think your buddy would like to receive. To play, sign up for an account, round up some friends, and start browsing through the gifts on the site. Note that most of these gifts are non-material, like "Go Visit Alcatraz" or "Self-Defense Lessons". You can select up to four gifts, and then from those four, you choose one that you think your friend would like the best. When you've settled on one, send it to your friend via email. Upon receiving the virtual gift, they reply indicating their preference among the four gifts. If there's a match between the present you chose and the present they chose, you both win the challenge and you each earn one point. You can also "re-gift" presents that weren't chosen among the four to earn more points; if you re-gift and win your score is multiplied by the number of times the gift has been re-given.

In their own words
"GiftTRAP Live is online game played via email/browser to discover just how well you know EACH friend! Who knows you best? Who do you know best? You'll soon find out for sure.

It's a social gift-giving game based on exchanging virtual gifts that's also competitive! You rank by knowing your friends best and by them knowing you!

We've taken GiftTRAP, the award winning board game & merged in elements from eCards, Wish-lists and Social Gaming, all in a Web 2.0 style. It's all about fun & learning what makes you & your friends tick!"
Why it might be a killer
For fans of the GiftTRAP game, the site offers a new way to play and could be more interesting since you can include an unlimited number of players and there's no time limit on the game.
Some questions
To me, this game seems somewhat pointless and undefined; how and when does someone win? It seems like GiftTRAP goes on indefinitely. Also, when I tested it out, the server mixed up my "to" and "from" email addresses and instead sent my gift choice for my friend to my inbox, not my friend's inbox.
