In their own words
“KeyCanada.ca is an online Canadian real estate community founded in 2007 by two former Queen's University students, Jason Hurd and Cormac Trainor. It is a place where people can search for properties, find services and information relating to real estate, discuss their local or national market, and interact with other buyers, sellers, renters, agents, and landlords. KeyCanada.ca is also a great marketing tool for real estate professionals. Agents and landlords can advertise their listings and services for free.”
Why it might be a killer
The Canadian housing market has not suffered the same decline as its neighbor to the south making this type of portal one that could succeed quickly. The site is well-designed and searching filters work well.
Some questions
Why not allow anyone to post their house for sale? It seems like allowing owners to sell directly is one of the great advantages offered by the internet since middle men can be cut out. Also, when will they be expanding to the rest of the country?
