Justin.tv - Watch Life Through Justin´s Perspective

Justin.tv is an internet reality show that runs live stream from a video camera Justin wears 24-7. It´s been live for 10 days and 19 hours now (they have a timer at the time of their page). The only times when Justin plans on taking off his camera is if he is with someone who´s extremely opposed to being on tape, or sometimes when he´s in the bathroom. What´s cool is that the site lists a schedule of what Justin is planning on doing, acting almost like a TV guide, so that you know when to tune into the site. It would probably be entertaining to be viewing Justin´s actions when he´s on his date tomorrow, or Monday night when he´s going to a Passover dinner his friend Michael is hosting. The cast is Justin and his three friends, and they are basically a 180 from the typical MTV Real World cast or Super Sweet Sixteen bratty kids you´ll generally find on reality shows.

“Justin wears the camera 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Even in the bathroom. Even on a date. This is really live. Honest. Right now. Justin will wear the camera until the day he dies. By which we mean if he takes it off, we´ll kill him.”

They have a lot of traffic currently and the site is really well done. They could easily make money off of this in the typical sponsorship way of TV where they use someone´s product, or drink Coke, or something like that. They´ll have individual video blog streaming technology down so that they could easily broaden their reach to having lots of other people hosting their own shows in a similar manner.

Will people be irritated by all of the buffering you have to deal with to watch Justin? Will immature chatters turn people off to using that function when they have to deal with annoying spam type comments? How will they continue to stand out with all of the competition about to open similar services to the general public?
