Like Evite, IPartee is an event planning website that lets you search for functions you wish to attend or create your own. In terms of planning a fiesta, you’ll need to sign up for the site. You can create both a personal profile as well as a profile for your event, and can use the site’s interactive tools (for example, the friends poll) to help you figure out the best time, date, and location, for instance. You can send invites to anyone, regardless of whether or not they have an account on IPartee, via the site’s contact list manager. If you’re looking to attend an event, you can browse public events across the site, join groups related to events you may be interested in checking out, or subscribe to a variety of available feeds which pull updates from groups, friends’ profiles, photos, etc to keep you on top of the latest happenings.

IPartee doesn’t offer a lot that other similar party planning sites don’t; will this lack of innovation dissuade users from drifting from tried-and-true services like Evite? With the advent of gigantic social networks that also let you create and plan events, like Facebook, I somewhat feel that sites like IPartee represent a dying breed.
