In their own words
“First-hand experience. Networking. Challenges. Freebies. These are qualities we look for in our internships. We are two goal driven, adventurous, best friends who spend countless hours dissecting and analyzing our relationships, shopping purchases, and offbeat internships. We wouldn't buy a pair of shoes without our best friend's opinion, so why not apply the same idea to internships?
We created InternshipRatings.com to give students an outlet to reveal and critique the intern world. We know first hand that being an intern is thrilling, overwhelming, challenging and stimulating. That's why we created a place for interns to find out the real deal. Whether or not your experience involved coffee runs and filing papers (like ours did), your internship story will help others determine if "it's worth the coffee."”
Why it might be a killer
InternshipRatings.com has a very colorful bold interface that is easy to navigate. The site has a great deal of information and is really unique and useful. Students can get honest answers about specific intern positions and those who have had either positive or negative experiences interning can express their opinion and help others make a positive decision. Having the top five internship positions on the homepage is a good idea so that anyone visiting the site can get an idea of a good rating.
Some questions
Hopefully more people will start to participate on the site because there are some states that do not have any reviews. Would InternshipRatings.com ever expand its network internationally? There are many internship experiences abroad as well that students may be interested in.
