    Hipolitical.com - What’s Buzzing in Politics

    hipolitical

Hipolitical.com is a simple news aggregation site that scours the web for the latest breaking news in US politics and displays it in an easy-to-browse format. The top news from Daily KOs, digg Politics, the Drudge Report, Huffington Post, Technorati Politics and many other news feeds are included along with the blog sites from the leading Presidential candidates. No registration is required to get started so you can simply go to hipolitical.com anytime you want to check what’s going on in near real-time. The site does a good job of sitting on the fence by providing feeds from both the right and the left of the political spectrum.

    In their own words

“What’s buzzing in politics. Get the latest news from: Daily Kos, digg Politics, Drudge Report, Huffington Post, Technorati Politics, Redstate: Conservative News, Crooks and Liars, Politico, National Review, Think Progress, reddit Politics, Right Wing News, The Nation, The Christian Science Monitor, Hot Air, Wonkette, TPMMuckracker, little green footballs, ObamaBlog, BlogHillary, and John McCain Blog.”

Why it might be a killer

The timing for this site is perfect as interest in the US Political scene will continue to rise with the upcoming elections and people will be constantly searching for the latest breaking news. Hipolitical could become one of the sites that people turn to in order to get their fix.

    Some questions

They do not have a widget or link that would allow people to add this site to their RSS feeds which is pretty short sighted. Will they be adding this functionality to the page? Perhaps they could also consider a section for ranking the news or allowing users to vote on the best?
