    Helpglobe.com - Question and Answer 2.0

    helpglobe

At first glance, HelpGlobe appears to be a typical question and answer site where people ask questions and other users help them by providing an answer. Dig a bit deeper however, and you will find that HelpGlobe is not your typical Q+A site due to the way that it qualifies and sorts content. The content on HelpGlobe is entirely determined by users but unlike other user generated content sites where the quality of questions and answers can be poor, HelpGlobe only keeps the highest user-rated answers on the site and also allows answers to be continuously improved, just like Wikipedia. What all this means, in a nutshell, is that as HelpGlobe adds more and more content, it is going to become an increasingly accurate and useful tool.

    In their own words

“Web 2.0 is about user-generated content. Unrated user-generated content is junk, as reported by Businessweek. Rated user-generated content is gold, and that's where HelpGlobe starts. HelpGlobe adds the ability to refine contributions like Wiki's, and voila, you have the future.”

Why it might be a killer

This is Q+A gone 2.0 and it should be a real hit. The only possibility that this site has of not doing well is if they fail to attract user generated content and opinion. They seem to have developed the perfect work around this by offering shares in the company for those who contribute content—sounds like this one’s going to fly.

    Some questions

Have they considered adding more categories to improve searching? They are adequate for now but if this site takes off it is going to be difficult to navigate with such a small number of filtering options.
