Hawaii, that island paradise in the Pacific now has its very own search engine called HawaiiGaga. This search engine is tailored to vacationers for the most part.

Its main focus is on rentals throughout the island chain, and it currently indexes over 25oo properties. Each rental posted comes with a complete description with pictures and an availability calendar. You can search by island or by region. Property owners can list their places for free, although active members who pay around $190 a year get more perks with their listings. Besides showcasing rentals, HawaiiGaga also has a pretty complete selection of guides, interactive maps and photos. The maps come with zooming, pop up information windows, views of attractions and properties, and three different map styles. Click on any icon to get more in depth information. Mousing over an icon will bring up a small photo of the beach or attraction marked. There are guides for each island, as well as healthy and safety and weather guides.
