These days, it’s not so taboo to discuss salaries or working conditions. There are dozens of gossip sites that let you in on the luxuries and pitfalls of working at various media, publishing and tech companies. Glassdoor just makes it extremely easy to check out. So, take a look at Google, for instance, and you can see what employees earn and what sort of reviews employees give. There are only four companies up for free full reviews. After that, you have to pay to play, ie submit your own review to see other reviews. Everything is anonymous, of course.
