    GeoEye.com - Map & Monitor The World

    geoeye

GeoEye is a company whose products intend to let the user map, measure and monitor the world. These are listed on its website, under the corresponding heading. Orbview-2, Ikonos and the widely-publicized GeoEye-1 are all part of this family of products, and they provide a thorough vision of our planet from every azure angle. For instance, Orbview-2 is a daily-collected image database of the earth’s land and ocean surfaces. A tool like this can be used by commercial vessels in order to detect propitious oceanographic fishing conditions. On the other hand, GeoEye-1 is the world’s highest resolution Earth-imaging satellite.

The corporate website also includes a host of information on the company and sections such as a media room and a gallery that showcases some of the most notable pictures that have been retrieved so far using the company´s solutions. A “Careers” subsection is also included, and those who are looking for employment opportunities are advised to give it a look, as job openings are described there in concise detail.

The site also boasts sections which are geared towards investors and prospective business partners. Case studies are prominently featured, and multimedia presentations can be checked out anytime.

    In their own words

“GeoEye is the premier provider of geospatial information for the national security community, strategic partners, resellers and commercial customers to help them better map, measure and monitor the world.”
