Ganges isn´t just a river in India, well not anymore. Think of this latest incarnation as a media stream in which viewers, can, shall we say, dip their feet into the proverbial current of the internet video phenomena. While this Ganges may not host holy waters, participants are nevertheless able to spread the goodness of their favorite videos. Like a growing number of sites, Ganges aggregates media-- in this case videos and photos-- and endows their users with the power to share, collect, find and inform. Its purpose is to ‘be delightful,´ and impart a feeling of joy and warmth among fellow gangesers. Said gangesers will no doubt feel tickled with delight to earn up to $40,000 with their pictures or videos; should your photo/video be voted to top place, your good karma will indeed pay off. The Ganges toolbar, complete with a seeding button and embed codes, enables you to search and load content from 20 video sites to Ganges while also copying URLs to your Myspace page. There are tools for customizing photos including Gif animation, though the same cannot be said for videos. Sign up today to enjoy the joyful phenomenon of Ganges.

In their own words
“Ganges is “a space in which you can share open-minded thoughts” through internet browser for internet users from all over the world and you. Ganges is the UCC site in which delightful meetings are always waiting. Ganges will evolve as “the user centered site” which puts users in the center. We have an open mind which similar characteristic sites should share information together in order for users not to obtain only biased information.
Why it might be a killer
Ganges seeks to be a catch-all, a continually growing space for the distribution and sharing of media. If it were able to get a hold on the internet video craze and provide a one stop arena, it would certainly find a virtual sea of followers. Its capabilities are decent and it´s already got a range of content and a very dharmic spin to its approach.
Some questions

What really makes Ganges different the rest of the aggregator crowd? Users cannot upload their own videos, and this is definitely not YouTube. It´s simply a facsimile like digg.com . Will there be enough good karma to keep this striver afloat?
