The idea behind the popular site FriendFeed, is finding new and interesting links, articles, sites, etc via your friends. It’s an exercise in sharing the Web 2.0 way. Until now, there surprisingly hasn’t been any FriendFeed memetrackers allowing a Digg-style popularity index to showcase the most viewed items. However, a clever Frenchman decided to change this and made his own FriendFeed memetracker aptly called FriendFeedLinks. FriendFeedLinks tracks and shares what’s popular on FriendFeed. It follows the format of most memetrackers, particularly Digg. You can browse stories by the most popular front page, there’s a ‘Home with Digg’ option, as well as Recently Popular, Latest Stories, or you can even customize your view by services, number of shares, and time frame. Each FriendFeed link comes with a show of who shared, how long ago; you get the option to share the link yourself. It’s free and you don’t need to belong to FriendFeed to use it.
