FoodFeed.us - Twitter What You Eat

You already twitter about daily activities like where you’re headed, with whom you’re meeting, or maybe what you’re wearing or how you’re feeling. So why not twitter about what you eat too? FoodFeed.us is a site dedicated to sharing your eating habits with the world, if that’s something you care to do. You simply add “having” as your friend on Twitter, and post your updates by sending twitters in the format “@having eggs and bacon.” If you don’t want your updates to show up in your friends’ feeds, you twitter “d having eggs and bacon” instead. This way you could keep a record of what you eat without notifying your friends’ feeds every time you take a bite. If you want to check just your FoodFeed (as opposed to viewing your FoodFeed posts mixed in with the rest of your twitters), you can visit a simple URL provided by FoodFeed.com. If you’re curious what other FoodFeed users are eating, there is a random selection of FoodFeed twitters posted on the site’s front page.

  In their own words

“FoodFeed is a service that helps you share your eating habits with everyone, from anywhere. Just be sure Mom doesn’t get your feed.”

Why it might be a killer

Someone trying to improve their eating habits might team with a friend or even a personal trainer or nutritionist, who could keep tabs on what they’re eating through FoodFeed. Or for some people, simply seeing a list at the end of the day might make them feel more accountable every time they decide to eat something. Or, some twitter addicts may simply enjoy a new topic to twitter about.

  Some questions

Why not just send normal twitters about what you eat, instead of posting them to your FoodFeed, where you have to bother with the special formatting (i.e. “@having a slice of cheese pizza”)?
