As is its wont, Flyp focuses on America and the pressing issues facing Americans in these heady days. Politics, of course is forefront as is the economy, food shortages, gas prices, governmental spending and scandals, as well as war. However, it’s not all abysmal, teeth gnashing, World War III stuff. Flyp throws in a few culture articles such as “Low Brow Love” about a couple’s struggle with bad tv habits, or the Iron Man article fashioned after the recent debut of the movie with the same name. What’s interesting about Flyp, is that it’s not a low tech zine cobbled together by a crafty group of strangers. It’s actually quite slick. It combines video, high-quality, hi-res graphics, text, animation and savvy designs into one killer online magazine. What’s more, the format is magazine-like.
