Flagr.com In their own words
“The founders believed there should be an easy way for EVERYONE to share where they go, while on the go. Such a system would not be limited to use with fancy GPS-enabled mobile phones. Instead, it would rely on the already-popular text messaging infrastructure available on almost every cell phone. With such a system, users previously excluded from such services can take part in an extraordinary social experience. They can Sharewhere, anywhere.
Why Flagr.com might be a killer
They take the tagging-places idea and make it possible by a new medium by including text message tagging. Being able to embed the maps into whatever website you want is also a cool feature people will enjoy, and is something businesses could use to show where their different chains are, where their employees are from, and more. The “worldliness” percentage feature will also encourage people to get others from all over the world to get involved and make maps in distant countries have more labels, which is another feature other sites don´t include.
