    FarAwayFish.com - Life After Death

I am sure many of you watched the recent movie starring Hilary Swank and Gerald Butler named “PS I Love You”. Without giving that much away, in the movie the character played by Hilary loses her husband (played by Mr.

Butler), and has to see how she can carry on without him. The thing is that he knew he was dying, so that he wrote a series of letter that were to be sent to her after he perished.

The ones who came up with this site certainly seem to have watched that movie, as the site makes for preserving your thoughts and dreams while you are alive, and then sharing them with those you love once you pass away in the form of e-mails. In addition to that, a web profile is published and it can remain online for up to 10 years, chronicling your life and your deeds.

There are two different packages – a free one (just for passing your wisdom), and a silver lining package that comes at a fixed cost. The latter is the one you should go if you are interested in the web profile that was described above.

A service such as this one is certain to raise a few eyebrows. I think the concept has a certain potential, and in (very specific) situations it can be put to good use - just think of “PS I Love You”. However, that true appeal is too circumscribed and I am afraid such an approach can do more harm than good in the long run.

    Some questions about Farawayfish.com

How much does the silver lining package cost?

    Farawayfish.com In their own words

“Farawayfish.com gives you the unique opportunity to record and preserve all your thoughts, your hopes and your dreams whilst you are still alive so that, after you die, they can be shared with the people that matter most to you. When you finally cash in your chips your pre-written messages are sent out and your web profile published, remaining on-line for up to 10 years!”

Why Farawayfish.com might be a killer

It’s an interesting service to say the least, although many people will oppose to such an approach.
