Fans.askaninja.com - Social Network For Ninja Blog Fans

    fans

Fans of the video blog "Ask a Ninja" will congegate to a new social networking service brought to you by the blog's creators. Responding to the success of the blog, the Ask a Ninja team has created Ask a Ninja – Fans, a community where, you guessed it, fans of the Ask a Ninja blog can connect with other ninja-lovers. Basically, it's exactly like any other social network with the exceptions of its extremely specialized theme. On the site, you can create your personal profile, parcticipate in forums, check out back episodes of the video blog, check out sweet ninja photos, and join "clans" (come on, we're talking about ninjas here, ninjas don't do "groups"). You can, of course, still access the original blog via the Ask a Ninja – Fans site.

    In their own words

"You got questions? Ninja got answers".

Why it might be a killer

Ask a Ninja – Fans should definitely appeal to anyone enamored with the video blog by the same name. The network, though relatively new, is highly functional and easy to navigate. Ninja fans will delight at the ease of access to back episodes of the video blog in particular; now you can discuss that video of how to escape from the roof of an 8-story building with other ninja fans.

    Some questions

Since the site is so specific, I wonder how big the market for a social network of this genre really is. It's true that the Ask a Ninja blog saw a lot of success, but not every successful themed web-venture necessitates an entire social network simply because it became popular.
