    Doiop.com - Give long URLs a nickname

    doiop

Doiop.com offers Internet users a chance to make a nickname for a long URL code, making it easier to 'remember and give away'. The main page of doiop.com has a space for the long version of the URL and then http://doiop.com/ . In the space after .com/, users can choose any word they like, click to make sure the word isn't already taken, and then create the shorter URL. The team at doiop.com loves Unicode and all it's language capabilities. Users can create shorter URLs in any language (even languages that don't use an alphabet) using any Unicode characters. Now that the site has been running for a while, new URLs with words such as "work" or "news" have already been taken so the best way to use doiop.com is to start with your name and then any keyword. The new URL will never expire and will not break into email or other private accounts.

    In their own words

"So, for example, if your name is 優子 (Yuko), and you want to link to a café in Москва (Moscow), you can create a doiop shortcut like this one:
    http://doiop.com/優子/Москва/café!"

Why it might be a killer

For main pages, doiop.com may not be needed but for those URLs with hundreds of out of place numbers and letters it is a huge convenience. Sharing and remembering doiop.com URLs is easy, especially if there is a page (handwritten or typed) that keeps track of all the short URLs that you have created. This site is great for sharing specific photos from online albums and other pages found deep in the heart of big websites.

    Some questions

Is there a way users can keep track of all their new URLs on doiop.com?
