Decision.HealthCare.com - Vote On Health Policies

    decision

Health care will be a much talked about issue in the 2008 presidential election headlined by Barack Obama and John McCain. But what do the candidates actually stand for on their respective healthcare platforms? Besides broad or obvious statements like, “health care should be universal” or “health care is too expensive”, what are their concrete goals and the policies employed to achieve those goals? HealthDecision ’08 blends content and interactive tools enabling online voters to read about each candidate’s plan, weigh through the issues point-by-point, and ultimately to “vote” on a preferred health care platform between Obama and McCain. Voting results are available real-time, along with other interactive tools such as polling and questionnaires. HealthDecision ’08 is a new initiative of HealthCare.com, already a leading online health website, and is benefitted by the ideal domain name with which to start the conversation. The candidates could use this site as a way to measure how people feel about their policies.

    In their own words

“HealthDecision ’08 provides a side-by-side comparison of Obama’s and McCain’s healthcare positions and proposals, along with interactive voting tools that enable users to vote for their preferred health care plan and offer their own comments after weighing through the issues.”

Why it might be a killer

HealthDecision ’08 combines high-quality, journalistic content along with interactive web community tools. This is a short-term initiative, but one that could get a lot of air-time in the current election cycle

    Some questions

What happens to HealthDecision ’08 after November 4th?
