In their own words
“I was going to write a sentence about why this site exists, but when I asked, Darrell said "If it's not self-evident then fuck off." Feisty.
Instead, I'll explain what this website is very literally.
On CommandShift3, you are presented with the screenshots of two websites side by side. If you click the screenshot of the site you think looks best, the page reloads and you start all over again. It never ends.
So far there have been 317371 clicks. The energy it took to click 317371 times raised the earth's temperature by .0000000000000000046369140 degrees, contributing to the melting of the polar ice caps. Way to go, asshole.
The best & worst page is where we add up all those clicks and display the winners and losers. You can also browse winners by tag, and by month or week. You can also see the worst ever.”
Why it might be a killer
CommandShift3.com is easy to navigate. The site is pretty self explanatory and contains a sufficient introduction and explanation of the site. When you click on an actually screenshot you are provided with information on the screen shot such as how many battles it has won and its address. It is nice that you can add comments about the screenshots of the webpage.
Some questions
Who actually has enough time to play this game? CommandShift3.com could add categories to the battles such as best social network screenshot, or best application screenshot. Are their any rewards for the site with the best screenshot?
