ComicSpace.com - MySpace for Comic Fans

    comicspace

ComicSpace.com is the site for people who love comics where they can unite, share comics, read comics, comment on comics, and become friends with other comic lovers. You can organize your friends through tabs and subscribe to the material they host. As they say, it is like the MySpace for comic enthusiasts.

    In their own words

“ComicSpace is a community of over 12,200 comic fans and creators... hosting over 2,400 comic galleries... containing over 22,700 comic pages!”

Why it might be a killer

The site only just started and already has a huge network of people who log in regularly. The site makes money through ad space that is auctioned off on Project Wonderful. They also have an online store selling memorabilia with the ComicSpace logo on it. They already have a strong following and a full ad space. They combine comic viewing with social networking, corning the comic enthusiast niche.

    Some questions

How many people are really going to want to buy merchandise from ComicSpace? Are there too many comic fan sites already?
