You might be pretending like you know what the word “crowdsourcing” means, but don´t kid yourself. Fun fact: the term was originally coined by Jeff Howe from Wired Magazine, and it´s an emerging economical model that outsources large groups of people over the internet. This way, they can put all their brain power together to work on stuff that´s originally performed by a designated employee and take a profit. (Fun fact source: Wikipedia. Where else?) Cambrian House is taking this business model and offering it up to you. You´ve always had a great idea but don´t have the human resources to start it up? Cambrian House taps the wisdom of the people and relies the success of the model based on the theory that two heads are better than one, or in this case, entire crowds are better than one. The members of the Cambrian House elect to identify their strengths, skills, interests, super powers, etc, and submit ideas and business ventures onto the site. You can also surf others ideas to see if you can join forces with an idea you think could fly.

In their own words
“Cambrian House is the home for a community of people with broad talents and interests that come together to create products that the world wants, markets those products, and shares in the profits.”
Some questions

How exactly does profit sharing work? What if someone who originally joins the team ends up not contributing? How about if someone who backs the company financially and they don´t cut a profit? These things are liable to happen in the real world, obviously, but could Cambrian also be held liable?
