    BrazenCareerist.com - LinkedIn For Generation Y

    brazencareerist

Brazen Careerist is a networking site that not only aims to cater for a very specific public, but which also provides some functionalities that set it apart from other resources on the web today.

First thing first: the public towards it is geared. That public is mainly made up of Y generation individuals.

And second (but not least important in any sense): the pitch itself. It involves the combination of social features, and the creation of a feed of ideas where people can list both their goals and aspirations so that employers can learn about candidates in a more representative way. Users can network and hold conversations about these topics, and build contacts in that way.

Such an approach will suit not only job seekers and recruiters, but also entrepreneurs looking for collaborators and the ones looking for expert opinion, including reporters and connected media professionals.

At the end of the day, the site provides visitors with a sort of “live” resume that includes not only your academic performance but also information on your inspiration, goals and ambition. In this way, prospective employers will be able to see the human being that lies beyond the name in an application form and the whole process of searching for a job become a more human one.

    In their own words

“Brazen Careerist is a career management tool for next-generation professionals. In a career space where experienced professionals win, we've created a community that levels the playing field. Create a profile on Brazen Careerist that showcases more than just your resume, because your ideas matter too. Then, follow real-time updates from your favorite members and begin to build a network through conversations: the way networking is supposed to happen.”

Why it might be a killer

It makes the task of looking for a job a more fulfilling one, if only because hirers will have a better idea of who you are from the very beginning.
