This young startup enables anybody to flood any bar with his or her friends at the same time, by prearranging it over the Web. In addition to that, users can invite strangers that seem to share their selfsame interests and hobbies, and meet in person easily.

This social service is provided in a very simple manner: all you have to do is pick out the venue in question and set down the time and theme for your meet-up. Friends (and strangers too, if you wish) are then invited and you all can convene together, have a grand time and sing some drinking songs in the process.

The main page also includes some barfloods in your vicinity via a Google Map, so that you can always see how things are shaping up near you at a mere glance. A list of barflooded cities is likewise included for reference purposes.

When all is said and done, the site plays to the hilt the role its creators set to out to claim: “The Drunken Twitter of Meeting Websites”. See it in action for yourself at the link which is provided. And make sure to bring your hip flask along for the ride.

In their own words
“BarFlood lets you easily 'flood' a bar with your friends, classmates, workmates or even total strangers with a similar interest – see this as a make-your-own-theme-bar website. With BarFlood, any local bar can be a Trekkie/Techie/Beat-Poetry-lovin'/whatever bar. Nobody should have to suffer boring bars and boring people. We like to think of Barflood as the drunken Twitter of meeting websites: Simple, straightforward, and linked in to your existing social sites.”
Why it might be a killer
